As an interior designer at Tresidio Homes, Nadza brings her passion for design and creativity to every home she works on. We sat down with Nadza to learn more about her job, her approach to design, current design trends and what inspires her.
What inspired you to become an interior designer?
I knew I wanted to become an interior designer from a young age. I have been around the construction industry since I was a little girl. My father owns a tile installation company, and he would take me to job sites when I was little. I remember being obsessed with seeing the homes and the process of the home coming together. He was the one who told me that I could do it as a career and I was sold ever since.
What do you consider to be the most important element of a well-designed home and how do you incorporate this into your work?
I think the most important element is making sure the home flows! I like to do these by carrying key elements or colors and using them throughout the home. The best way to do this is to imagine and create a color scheme before you start the design of your home and through each room make sure you’re keeping it in mind! What do you see as the future of interior design, and how do you stay ahead of the curve?
I think the future of interior design is really going to be leaning into a more curated, authentic space.We are now seeing unique colors and texture come through in design. This includes tile, paint colors, cabinetry, lighting, and of course furniture and decorative accents plus much more! People have been learning to actually live in their homes and from that they are trending towards things that make them feel genuinely happy and also reflecting their personality into their space!
What advice do you have for more homebuyers coming to our Design Studio to design their home?
I think the biggest advice I have for Tresidio homebuyers is to have a general idea of what you do or don’t like and have fun! Building a home is such a big accomplishment and I think because of that there is a lot of stress tied into the selections process. When I initially meet with a homebuyer, I can tell there are a lot of nerves and by the end of it they are so relaxed and excited. I am here to guide you through the process, work with your specific style, and make sure you get everything you want and need within your budget.
